Learn to bet on Craps – methods and Strategies: Sit Down at an Open Seat
February 1st, 2010 by Araceli

You notice a table with a couple of open positions. Which spot should you take? That’s a matter of individual preference. Is there a beautiful guy or female wagering alone at 1 end of the table? Which gamblers are using cigarettes? Which appear to be cynical? Who seem drunk or annoying? Select a spot where you will feel the most comfortable.

I like betting on the end, immediately next to the dealer. On the end, I don’t have to be concerned about gamblers on either side of me. I do not like gambling next to the stickman because I constantly seem to be in the way of him trying to get the dice or angling the stick.

After betting for a bit, you will get a feeling for your preferred position. You don’t have an option when it is packed. If you end up in a lousy spot (like, an obnoxious player is beside you), simply shift to a different free spot. If the craps table is packed, hang out until someone walks away and take their spot. Be aware of a player "coloring up," which is an indication that she’s departing, and inform the dealer that you would like to take over her seat. The croupier will then reserve that spot and not permit a new player to quickly take the spot. The croupier will amiably ask the new player to move to the spot that you vacate. Clearly, when you change positions, do not leave your your chips.

Gamblers next to you can affect your feeling and entire playing experience. They can cause it to be exciting or miserable. You may get stuck next to a smoking obese guy with horrid body odor, or it may be a group of drunk angels spilling out of their skimpy tops. So, choose your spot wisely.
