Don’t Drink Alcohol … Bet
January 7th, 2010 by Araceli

If you prefer to indulge in a beer every now and then, keep your money at home if you plan to do your consuming in a brick and mortar betting house. I am serious. clean out your billfold, your money belt, and leave all cash, debit cards and chequebooks at home. Take whatever cash you are planning to spend on drinks, tips and whatever pocket change you intend to lose and leave the rest behind.

Pessimistic? Not really. Realistic really. You may well discover a win after a boozy evening out with your friends and be fortunate enough to hit a 25 minute roll at a smokin craps table. Hang on to that story because it is as brief as it gets if you constantly drink and wager. The two just don’t mix.

Leaving your cash at home is a little excessive, however, preventative measures for drastic actions is relative and required. If you wager to win, then don’t drink and bet. If you can afford to throw away your cash without a worry, then drink all the no cost alcohol your gut can handle, but do not take credit cards and checks to toss into the combination of chasing losses once your drunken brain loses all the cash!
